Naviance lesson 3/10/16 Goal/objective- Students will explore their ability and interests and then they will learn about related careers using Naviance. Essential Question- What careers are related to your interests and skills? 0. Greet students and ask the boys to log in. Pass out Jupitergrades data sheets. Ask Gabby to sit at the round table. 1. Intro- As indicated today is Naviance day. Naviance will help you think about what you are good at and what jobs might connect to your skills and interests. 2. Objective for today- First students will explore their ability and interests and then they will learn about related careers using Naviance. 3. Essential Question for today- What careers are related to your interests and skills? 4. First you will answer the questions on Naviance's CAREER CLUSTER PROFILER and CAREER INTEREST PROFILER. 5. Then save. 6. Then you will look at jobs that might match your interests and skills. 7. CFU I. Career Clusters Profiler II. Career Interest Profiler III. Save IV. check occupations if you have time. 8. Don't forget to do your Jupitergrades before the end of the period as well. 9. I will check on you and help as needed (including Gabby) and I will make sure Snapread is loaded in case you have trouble with a word. 10. Teacher circulates and helps students with Naviance and loads Snapread. Pass Jordan My Sister's Keeper audio book. 11. At 8:11 prepare for morning announcements.
